The World did'nt become grey ghoo then...

So the Science chaps in Geneava did not distroy the planet....well at least not yet! Yes today was the day. That said, we have had a hek of a lot of rain and it is hard to think that the Autonminal Equinoxe is only a week or so away. The wet and the wind we had last month and last weekend was unpresidented.

Last weekend saw one of the many Big Birthday bashes for me this time, a lovely weekend in Somerset! Thanks gang, you know who you are!

Big Al is in the states and is currently loving it, I knew he would once he got there! This weekend sees the yadio gang gather in the NE for another bash, as you do, you are only @# once!!

Spring or Winter?

Spring or Winter? Well, out there today it is 16C, February? The climate feels more like spring. A mixed old week horrid work and some really nice social events. We both went out last night for a posh pheasant supper, yum yum. My mother would be horrified. Er'indoors is suffering her tooth situation has come to a head and she is having one removed this coming week. Stand by with the stong pain killers and Vodka!!

I sit here in the back garden posting this in the grand sunshine. I have more washing to stick on the line in a mo then, lunch on the patio for one and a glass of something I think. Madam is at work today.

I have an issue with Orange Broadband and I hope they sort out our line speed and connection problems. Beware if you are an orange UK customer...they may take you off the main connections via the BT network and place you on their LLU network for Broadband. Thank goodness my telephone accout i still with BT.

They may do this without your permission as we have found out. When they do you will face connection issues and 2 hours on the phone maybe to India !! I did! The file was then sent to the Gadget Show and BBC Watchdog. They assure me it will be resolved.....Well, if not it is the MAC code for me and I'm off! Rant over!!

Now, where is the washing and my pasta salad... SC x

Where did that month go

January went rather fast. It was a month of catching up saw quite a few of the gang including Bod on the Isle of Wight. I still love that part of the world. Thanks Bod for having me. Was also fabluss to see Jess and Si for dinner this last week. Yes, we even had a floor in the living room they could actually see.

The Jarre tickets have arrived, three of us are of to see the French Electro Master at the Royal Albert Hall later in the year. Me and Al are counting the days off. Al has sorted his blog and it is up and running...nice one son, init!! He is with Geoff doing a round the world motorcycle ride in aid of a hospice. Full details on the poor circulation blog. The link is on the left of this page. Al, we love ya, will miss ya but are ever so proud of what you are about to embark on. Talking of which we are off to Essex today to see the man soon.

I am much better though I am still full of cold and have no hearing on my one side. I am back in the land of the living at the office. Er' indoors is fine and dandy busy at work though, are'nt we all. Sue and Sue are off to Mexico on some Guiding thingy...not that we are bitter or anything. Good luck ladies.

Ohh well, soon be Easter! SC x

Getting there.

Well I am getting there slowly. I am really fed up with this chest thing now. Have a new sofa coming tomorrow and Er'indoors is sorting and changing rooms around this weekend. I am running away! The Isle of Wight is calling, I am off to see Bod for a couple of days. The harsh sea air should help clear the chest issues. The little red pills and the steriods are at least working now.

Sorted out various hotel rooms for conference in the Spring for us and a few others in the last couple of days which was fun....Not. Justin paid us a visit on his way back from Bristol the other night too and we had a good old catch up, as you do.

Today was dominated by the incident at Heathrow Airport and the crash landing of BA038. Thank God no one was killed. The pilot is a bloody hero. Well done British Airways. Stange that even the PM, Brown Sauce, got caught in the delays trying to fly out to China on an official visit! Nite. SC x

God...We know how to live.

Evening. A fair day in our world. Travel arrangements, ready for a conference in March discussing this with guys on the Isle of Wight and shredding were the main highlights of the day, God, do we know how to live!

Yes, after a lie in and getting up rather later than you should on a Sunday, er' indoors sorted a late cooked breakfast...ok, brunch. We then wondered round the place looking at moving the rooms around and, what to do with all our junk and the fact that this year we really do need to do a good spring clean! Scary thing is I am away next weekend so, yes, you guessed it... er' indoors will change the house around when I least expect it. I wont recognise the place next week, I can see it now.

After this it was a case of not a lot for a few hours, just chilling and watching the live rugby and football on offer from Sky. Er' indoors began the task of shredding the 'official burning post' Bank statements etc, you know, stuff you should not really throw away. There was a year's worth of it in a big iceland bag feeling un-loved, we just did not realise how much was in this big bag. It took 'she who thinks, she should be obeyed' hours, oh well only a little bit left now. Still, how did she break the shredder!! An exciting job for tomorrow!

The anti-biotics seem to be working but felt pretty cack this afternoon and had a little sleep. The evening was spent talking to freinds and chilling in front of a warm tumble dryer, as you do! The news is still full of american election chuff....is it me, or what! There is still months to go..aghhh.

Oh well, here is to another week. Take care. Nite. SC x

United 6 Newcastle 0......Fantastic.

I was quite pleased with today's result! Shame Gloucester lost to Ospreys. Well, not a lot today er'indoors had to work leaving me to do various household chores while watching the footy and rugby, as you do, of course.

Feel a bit better today, the tablets may be working, yipeee. A fab morning, breakfast on the terrace in the sun before the dreaded washing up and cleaning. Then came the rain, again. Had a good natter to family and a great old school friend and snuggled up with Er'indoors and watched Apolo 13 and Shaun of the Dead, strange film....Hot Fuzz was better. Tomorrow is almost here...Nite. SC x

No sex, just the drugs and rock and roll

Well that's how it has felt today. I have been off work with a nasty virus doing the rounds here in parts of the UK. They call it the winter vomiting viurs, yeah great. Saw the GP he also confirmed a horrid bout of Broncitis. So yes, drink this, take that etc. etc. Thanks Doc.

Apart from the drugs which should start to help in the next few days I spent today boringly sorting piles of stuff in the living room, It is nice when, you find something you thought you had lost for ever! Also, watching the heavy rain and seeing all the reports of floods here in SW England on BBC News 24. The poor folk caught in it especially at Bristol Temple Meads railway station.

Lazy tonight, as food was from our local takeaway! Well, it is Friday! Tonight saw the begining of the Liverpool, European City of Culture events for 2008. Headlined by Ringo Star and Dave Stewart. Then it was a case of sit back read the papers and do some stuff on the PC while talking to a good mate on MSN.

Er in'doors is watching a baywatch DVD...remember that!! Sacry 80's and 90's TV...Still, the view was great from time to time...oh, ouch!

So now off to the arm's of Morph. Nitey nite. SC x
